Based in beautiful Vancouver, Canada, we're a startup born from a simple frustration: why is buying furniture online so difficult? Our journey began with a sofa that changed everything.
When my wife and I bought our first home in Vancouver, we were excited to furnish our living room. Like many couples, we spent weekends visiting furniture stores - over 30 of them, to be exact.
We finally found the perfect sofa. The fabric was beautiful, the reclining feature was exactly what we wanted, and we could already imagine cozy evenings watching movies. We were thrilled with our purchase.
But when it arrived at our home, reality hit hard. The sofa was too big for our space, and the color clashed terribly with our overall living room aesthetic. What seemed perfect in the showroom was completely wrong for our home.
This frustration sparked our first solution: a 3D scanning app launched in November 2023 as a fun side project. We thought, "What if furniture businesses could easily create 3D models without spending tons of time and money?"
"Little did we know, this simple scanning app would evolve into something much bigger as we discovered the real challenges facing the furniture industry."

Working nights and weekends, we visited multiple trade shows throughout 2024 and spoke with over 50 furniture brands to deeply understand their needs. The message was consistent: they needed comprehensive 3D configurators and asset management tools more than just scanning capabilities. This extensive market validation guided Polymuse's evolution into a complete visualization platform.
The overwhelming market demand gave us the confidence to commit fully to this vision.

From a personal frustration to a comprehensive solution for the furniture industry.
Started as a fun side project focused on 3D scanning technology to help furniture businesses create 3D models without spending significant time and money.
Visited trade shows and talked to furniture businesses. Discovered that many already had 3D models from suppliers, and scanning wasn't always practical since they often only had photos/videos, not physical products.
Visited multiple trade shows and spoke with over 50 furniture brands. Discovered retailers struggling to show fabric variations and configurations - exactly like our sofa experience.
Based on extensive customer feedback, evolved into a comprehensive furniture visualization platform with 3D configurators, planners, and asset management - keeping our scanner as part of a complete solution.
Made the leap - quit the day job to focus full-time on Polymuse. Started reshaping the technology with AI Studio, modular studio, and e-commerce integrations.
Now serving furniture businesses across Canada and the US with a comprehensive visualization platform that solves real industry challenges.
Living in British Columbia, we're surrounded by some of the world's most beautiful natural landscapes. This daily inspiration drives our commitment to sustainability in everything we do.
We discovered that trade shows were a massive source of waste-furniture brands shipping heavy pieces across the country just for a few days of display. Our AR solutions eliminate this need entirely.
Now, brands can showcase their entire catalog at trade shows without transporting a single piece of furniture. Visitors can experience products through immersive AR, creating unique booth experiences while dramatically reducing environmental impact.
